LIFE STYLE CHANGES FOR CORPORATE EMPLOYEES




We may think that lifestyle disorders started in the recent years but Ayurveda calls it janapadoudvamsaniam a chapter is dedicated in astanga sangraham which explains how it all started.  It explains that it all started when man started to settle in one area and started a life which involved in accumulating of food and wealth which in turn resulted in hording, greed and jealousy.

So as our living gets easier and mechanized our life becomes complicated. We start to live for others. We try to live up to others expectations and not the way we need to live. Living such a lifestyle in the long run we forget what it is to live our life when the time arrives it may be too late.

The corporate lifestyle that we live now makes us forget our hobbies, our true friends, relationships and even sleep. This life in the long run will lead to mental and physical illness.  You will then have to spend your hard earned money in hospitals to get your health back leaving you with a bag of pills for the rest of your life.

Ayurveda has a solution for all these. It has solution to prevent you from the disease in the future and also cure you of any disease you are suffering right now.

Steps towards a healthy lifestyle -  THE AYURVEDIC WAY


·         Getting up early i.e. in Brahma muhurtham between 3am to 6am well for some it’s not possible because you go to bed only by 3am. So how about getting up after 6 to7 hours of sound sleep.

·         Wake up with good thoughts not with stress or thinking about  the days traffic or about your boss or work

·         Expose yourself to direct sunlight at least for 10 minutes a day before 10am

·         Do exercise or yoga or mild stretching to wake up your muscles

·         Take a refreshing shower

·         Eat a healthy and heavy breakfast it’s the first meal of the day it will keep you powered up.

·         Start early to avoid traffic or walk past traffic lights and take a cab so you will not have to stress out sitting in the cab through the lights.

·         Once in your work place organize your desk avoid gossips and loose talks to concentrate on work

·         Every half an hour change your posture stretch yourself take a stroll for 10 seconds and come back to work

·         Eat a fruit or vegetable or a salad in-between work to be refreshed

·         Have lunch in proper time don’t over feed yourself you will feel sleepy

·         Cut down on sugars and coffees and junk foods

·         Do not compare yourself with others

·         Do not boast about your financial status or about your new gadget to others

·         Try to walk home if you live within a radius of 5 kilometer it makes your day easy

·         At any cost do not take work or work stress to home

·         Enjoy with your family or loved once in the evening

·         Have a very light dinner

·         Go to bed early

It’s difficult to change from the day to day routine but a small step today will lead to break away from the shackles.
